The World is Round

Did you ever think what it is like for the world to be flat?  Hear this, you have probably heard the stories of the old times of the famous discoveries like Galileo, Pythagoras, and Christopher Columbus demystifying the idea of the world being round.  Hearing this, how was it like before this idea came across?

In a flat world, would we be at the very bottom of our universe?  How would our environmental system survive with the waters, climate, and worldly connections serve when it just runs out the sides exhaling into vacuous space?  These are only outcomes if we make a scheme of this theory, nevertheless it gets that noodle going.

In our everyday experience, the world can be flat or it can be round.  It really depends on you.  Friendship in a way brings about the colors of life.  It can bring about the round world.  Living in a life painted in gray or bits and pieces of subtle shades could draw out the meaning of life within you.  When you touch the heart of another, you bring that person from the flat picture to life.  You bring life into existence.  A name not conceived comes into being and two becomes linked.

Our world is meant to have color, because we have color.  Our world is meant to be round because it is round.  There is a good reason for life to give us this.  There is a reason for everything.  In the way of life, we need to understand these connections.  Our world is meant to be in friendship….  We know this and give friendship together.

The world is round so that friendship may encircle it. – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
