Pages of a Book

Would a book with only a cover be a book at all?  This is an insane notion.  How could a book be a book without pages.  Only a title on the cover page doesn’t make it at all.  It won’t even fancy as a paper weight if so.  I wouldn’t know what to call it.  Lets not forget about the other parts like the the bindings, graphics, the print, and countless hours of time and effort put into making a well-made book.   Creating a book might seem obvious as describing what it encompasses.  Yet, just as the process of creating a book, creating a better person needs the step by step process toward excellence.

To become a better person, it cannot be done in a day.  It might seem easy to float around casually putting pieces together whenever its felt to do so.  Or maybe your turning a cheek whimsically playing with valuable time, then trot off to some lesser activity that grabs hold of you.   Perhaps stuck in a gaze, then wondering of some other past or future engagement.  However, becoming a better person requires ambitious consideration.  You have to be honest with yourself and constantly keep yourself on track.  Without your aim towards the direction of your cause, keeps it hidden between fiction and reality.

Just as pages of a book, there is a process formulating.  In the palm of your hand you can hold a book, however the author is not an author without going through with the work.  While a book lies on a table or can be placed where you put it, you are the author of your life.  Each page is a piece of excellence.  Repeating these forms habits, which is up to you.

Each day is a calling to action.  You have a decision to make in a daily basis.  Practicing betterment is up to you.  You have the opportunity to listen, hear, think, and contemplate.  Each step of the process you can mediate with yourself and learn.  There are mistakes along the path, however don’t close your eyes to them as they can fine tune your ability of upholding your integrity of self.  At the same time, you don’t have to have every solution you come across.  Nobody is perfect, so don’t take yourself too literal, therefore mistakes can help you.

As you turn the pages of your day, you can become a better you.
