It can be hard to see through a lens which has a particular image or color. If you look at the spectrum of colors on the rainbow, there are typically seven. But if you take one and only see through that lens, a finite version, then things can be seen too narrow and limited.
This limitation if held could for a long while cause a seemingly separation between you and what is. However, the only separation is that you have a particular lens versus the other lenses. You would be blind to the truth and live in a fabrication of what is.
This can make a problem for many people that if narrow minded. This then projects your world view in a finite version of how things actually are.
The key is to be free of possessing a particular lens or a image of the individual. Then as this unfolds, you will see things as they are.
